4  Regional Context

The regional panorama maintains the approach of information on electricity consumption and the number of consumers, but allows the identification of each Federative Unit. In addition, information is available on electricity consumption by segment of the industrial and commercial sectors by Large Regions. Information on consumption and the number of electricity consumers, as well as consumption data by segment of industry and commerce, come from the SIMPLES system database.

Obs.: Large Regions aggregated according to the CNAE 2.0 classification up to the 2nd level, considering Divisions 5 to 43 for electricity consumption in the industrial sector, and Divisions 45 to 99 for electricity consumption in the commercial sector.
